Introduction:

Itinerary:
DAY 1: Depart from Quito to Tena at 7:00am by public transport. We head east over the Andes, traveling through spectacular mountain scenery. On arrival in Tena you will be lodged in a typical Quechua cabin and served a delicious lunch. In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to participate in some local culture or enjoy an entertaining walk getting to know the area. In the evening after an appetizing dinner you will get to hear some of the fascinating legends of the jungle and enjoy some traditional music of the region.
DAY 2:
After breakfast you will be transported to a part of the Upper river Napo known as the “Jatunyacu” to experience the emotion of white water rafting. After receiving your equipment and full safety instructions you will be ready to enjoy 25 km of rapids and natural pools and breath taking jungle scenery. Rafting also includes a hidden canyon walk, a delicious riverside lunch and for the more adventurous the possibility of using a sit on top kayak.After the rafting you will be served a beer before returning to Tena to take the bus back to Quito at 5:00 pm.
